Fact –  There is no scientific evidence to back this myth.  There is no medical research to support that drinking cold water or ice water immediately after giving birth is unsafe.  It is a general phenomenon  that chilled water can cause cold even to ones who have not given birth.  It is mandatory to keep yourself hydrated with 8 to 12 glasses of water.  It is a general belief that heat helps in healing that is why most ladies prefer warm beverages instead of cold.  However, no harmful effects have been detected in new moms who drank cold beverages right after delivery.

Myth #5 –  Stretch marks fade away after few months of childbirth

Fact – Stretch marks emerge as a result of pregnancy hormones which stretch the tissues under the skin.  Irrespective of the amount of application of vitamin E oil, coco butter or moisturizer you lather   on cannot alter your collagen and genetics.
